Infrastructure, Venues and Carbon Print Manager

Created in the former regional headquarters of the National Bank of Belgium, the Mosa Ballet School comes to life in this emblematic building located on Place Saint-Paul in the center of Liège (Belgium). In total, more than 10,000 m² of infrastructure have been radically transformed into educational, cultural and sporting spaces in order to offer young dancers and teaching staff a living and working environment that makes them want to excel every day. 

THE FUNCTION

Under the supervision of the School Coordinator, you will be responsible for the living conditions in the building and safety of students, visitors, studio or room tenants, the public and employees, and will ensure that the facilities are well maintained. As a true conductor, you will coordinate all operations relating to the building, its equipment and technical facilities and its surroundings and will be the contact person for a wide range of internal and external parties.  You manage a team of several people but do not hesitate to carry out certain interventions personally. Your time is divided between management (40%) and action (60%).

Your main tasks are as follows : 

Infrastructure management and maintenance policy 

Development of the maintenance plan in the context of preventive maintenance and implementation of monitoring tools 

In collaboration with the School Coordinator, drawing up specifications, negotiating maintenance contracts and renewing contracts, with a view to controlling costs and developing the quality of the building 

Supervision of the work of regular (e.g. daily cleaning of premises) and occasional (e.g. maintenance of equipment) subcontractors 

Team management

Animation of your team to keep a good atmosphere and a healthy motivation.

Setting up documentation and procedures so that information is shared and the team is as autonomous and efficient as possible

Distribution of roles, responsibilities and tasks according to the priorities and skills of each member of your team

Management of the schedule of your team working 24/7 to ensure a permanent presence in the building 

Technical management 

Planning, coordination and monitoring of regular maintenance operations or one-off interventions (repairs, compliance, etc.) and periodic compliance checks on installations 

Management of IT systems related to the infrastructure (access control, fire, cameras, room reservation system, etc.) 

Monitoring the needs and management of furniture and equipment for the smooth running of the school 

Security 

Regular monitoring of good practices and standards relating to safety and environmental protection 

Control and monitoring of the conformity and safety of all installations related to the safety of the building and people, preventive diagnosis of any risk of malfunction 

Organisation of fire evacuation measures and drills as well as first aid training for employees 

Management and supervision of the "concierges" team ensuring a 24/7 building surveillance solution 

Daily review of public areas, living, dancing and storage areas 

Carbon Footprint 

Regular monitoring of good practices and standards relating to environmental protection 

Development of dashboards for the calculation, monitoring and analysis of building-related consumption and proposals to reduce the Mosa's carbon footprint 

This function participates on an ad hoc basis with its staff in the Quand On Danse programme. 


Must Have

  • More than 10 years of building management experience, ideally with management of a small team

  • A good handyman with a high level of practicality and observation skills

  • High level of commitment, sense of responsibility, rigour and initiative

  • Familiarity and ease in using software

  • Knowledge of the Office Suite: Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Fluent in English and French

Nice to Have

  • Higher technical diploma in the field of construction (BAC+2/BAC+3)

  • Knowledge of Odoo
